Seeing what’s happening. Shaping what comes next.

Systemic Organisational Consultant ·
Creative Producer · Filmmaker

I work with founders and leadership teams when something important is changing.

For more than 20 years, I have worked across leadership, filmmaking and creative production in the UK and Europe — building and leading not-for-profit organisations, working with boards, navigating operational complexity and producing significant cultural projects and events.

I understand the strategic and practical demands of organisational life - from funding and development, managing teams, governance and compliance, to putting strong foundations in place and cultivating the partnerships needed for social impact and measurable outcomes - as well as the less visible forces that shape an organisation.

ABOUT

Lilian Simonsson is an organisational consultant and creative producer specialising in founder and leadership transition and complex project development. A former founding director of Enthum Foundation, a pioneering UK charity supporting displaced young people, she works with purpose‑driven organisations navigating growth, restructuring, endings and renewal.

An inspired and strategic partnership builder, she brings an extensive cross-sector network spanning cultural, statutory, community, faith, political, therapeutic, environmental, hospitality, funding and creative fields.

Her latest project, The Dialogue Room, connects people across divides around some of the big conversations of our time including systemic constellation work.

Alongside her consultancy practice, she is an exhibiting visual artist and filmmaker, having directed and co-produced more than 40 short and feature films for clients including the BBC, Tate Channel, Chiltern Firehouse and charity partners.

HOW I Work

Our world is changing rapidly. Yet many of the ways we lead, organise and make decisions are inherited from a different time. They can overlook the forces that profoundly shape organisational life: history and memory, power and belonging, relationships with the wider collective and the invisible dynamics between people.

I support values-led organisations through periods of transition, restructuring, growth, crisis, cultural change and renewal.

My approach is systemic, strategic, creative, solution-focused and deeply human. I look beyond the presenting problem to understand what is actually happening — where power sits, what has become stuck, what is not being said, what is being carried from the past, and what is trying to emerge.

What has the organisation outgrown?
What needs to be released, protected or reimagined?
What can enable safe transitions during times of uncertainty?

I help leaders see more clearly, ask better questions, make difficult decisions and turn insight into impactful action — without losing sight of the people, operations and mission at the heart of the work.

My background in filmmaking and creative production brings another dimension: deep listening, pattern recognition, narrative and visual thinking, bridging ambiguity, including unheard voices in the conversation and bringing people together around a shared vision and turning it into reality. I understand the power of story — how the stories we inherit shape how we see ourselves, our organisations and what we believe is possible.

I don't offer generic solutions. I work with the unique realities of each system, while responding strategically to what comes next.

My mission is to support leaders, organisations and their stakeholders to navigate uncertainty and complexity with clarity and integrity, creating the conditions for a flourishing future.
